WEB FORECAST: Light Snowfall Should End Before Evening Commute

A light snowfall will last into the afternoon, but should end before the Friday evening commute.

KSTP.com Meteorologist Patrick Hammer predicts snowfall totals will be light with 1/2" to 1". Areas north of the Twin Cities toward Brainerd may see up to 2".

Crews Begin Moving Snow onto Loppet Course

Wednesday, crews started moving snow onto the course that'll be used for the City of Lakes Loppet.

It runs through Wirth Park, over Lake of the Isles and ends in Uptown.

They'll need volunteers over the next 10 days to help move snow onto the course. Some will be shoveled off lakes and some will be man made.

The Loppet is Feb. 4 and 5.
